History of Research Development Institute

          The teacher’s Collage was founded in 1973 and developed until His majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej gave it the name Rajabhat Institute Suratthani in 1992.  Rajabhat Institute Suratthani was established as an organization namely “Research and Academic Services Centre” in order to conduct research.  In 1995 it was finally named “Research and Academic Services Institute”.  Then Rajabhat Institute Suratthani was authorized to be Suratthani Rajabhat University in 2004, and the Research and Academic Services Institute became the Research Development Institute, which is now one of the structures of Suratthani Rajabhat University.   

Goals
      1) To develop the personnel as a researcher.
      2) To support integration research in teaching and learning and to provide academic services to the community.
      3) To support Suratthani Rajbhat University lecturers in their research.
      4) To be a useful research resource for the lecturers and others.
      5) To publish the resulting research.
      6) To provide opportunities for strengthening personnel potential for research development by arranging training courses and conferences.
      7) To support and encourage personnel by applying and making use from research.
      8) To support collaborative working networks in research development between the research institutes in Thailand and related countries.
